Joanie Burns is a resident of Thousand Oaks and has worked in the environmental health, safety, and sustainability field for over 30 years and represents Supervisor Gorell on the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee.

Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council
Denise Calhoun sits on the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council and is a published researcher in various academic journals. Denise holds a Doctor of Education degree and a Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Pepperdine University.
Kevin Cannon
Ventura County Resource Conservation District Board
Kevin Cannon has served on the Santa Rosa Valley Municipal Advisory Committee since 2013. Kevin previously worked with the Ventura County Public Works Traffic Engineering Department and brings a unique experience to the Resource Conservation District Board.
Tyler Cobb
Somis MAC and the District 19 advisory committee
Tyler Cobb, a lifelong Somis resident, is member of both the Somis MAC and the District 19 advisory committee. He is deeply involved in the agricultural community in Ventura County as a grower and a shipper of multiple commodities. He and his wife Dana and have two children, Grace (14) and Jack (11).

Jeffrey Davis
Ventura County Behavioral Health Advisory Board
Dr. Jeff Davis, a Thousand Oaks resident for 12 years, recently retired as Superintendent of Oak Park Unified School District. With 37 years in public education, he served as both a teacher/coach and administrator, including district leadership roles in Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Dr. Davis is a recipient of the ACSA Region 13 Ferd J. Kiesel Lifetime Achievement Award and is known for his commitment to student wellness, leading successful Student Assistance programs in multiple districts. He currently serves on the Ventura County Behavioral Health Advisory Board.
Sean Enloe
AIDS Advisory Committee
Dr. Enloe is a graduate of the USC School of Medicine. With a background in pathology, Dr. Enloe trained at the LA County Medical Examiner’s office and has also worked for the Orange County Coroner’s office. This experience has contributed to a sincere understanding of the challenges faced by individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families. “Volunteering has been an important part of my life. While I was in Los Angeles County, I volunteered on skid row with Homeless Health Care Los Angeles and Clean Needles Now.” After moving to Ventura County to work at Gemini Diagnostics, Dr. Enloe found out about the rising number of HIV/AIDS cases and started attending the AIDS Advisory Committee (AAC) and the HIV/AIDS Coalition of Ventura County (HCVC) meetings, as a concerned member of the public. Both Linda Parks and Jeff Gorell have appointed Dr. Enloe to the AAC to represent District 2. Dr. Enloe is humbled to represent the constituents of District 2. “As a physician and a trans woman, I have a deep understanding of the importance of this work for the benefit of the entire community.”
Thomas Gentile
Tom Gentile has lived in the Lake Sherwood community for 10 years with his wife and two children. Tom works for a money manager based in Los Angeles and spends his free time playing tennis and enjoying the lake.
Ron Goldman
Waterworks District No. 38 Citizens Advisory Committee
Ron Goldman and his wife live in Sherwood since 1998. He is a veteran and a graduate of San Fernando Valley State College and taught courses at Moorpark College. His career has been in the financial services industry since 1972. He entered management in 1983, and has been managing and building multiple offices in the area since then. For the last 16 years he has been managing the Raymond James office in Westlake Village. He currently services on Waterworks District No. 38 Citizens Advisory Committee.
Herbert E Gooch III, PhD.
Cultural Heritage Board
Dr. Gooch is a Professor Emeritus at California Lutheran University and a resident of the Newbury Park & Thousand Oaks area and sits on the Cultural Heritage Board and is passionate about preserving and promoting significant features in Ventura County.
Keith Huss
Waterworks District 19 Citizens’ Advisory Council
Keith Huss is a lifelong resident of Ventura County. He was raised in and loves this rural centric community. Water is a vital resource to maintain that way of life. Keith is now retired and active within the AG community and farms a small orchard in the Camarillo/Somis area. As a citizen member of the County’s Water District 19, he wants to contribute to maintaining a reliable source of affordable water for both the agricultural and residential users of the county.

Carol Keavney
C.J. Keavney is a University of Georgia graduate with a background in communications and healthcare marketing. Former Ventura County employers include Amgen Inc. and The Arc. A long-time community volunteer with civic and non-profit organizations, C.J. is an alum of Ventura County Leadership Academy and a former member of the Thousand Oaks Business Roundtable.

Bruce Martin
Aviation Advisory Commission
Bruce Martin and currently resides in the city of Thousand Oaks. He worked at Amgen for 20 years and retired in 2013. Bruce been a pilot for over 40 years and flies professionally for an established charter operator at Camarillo and Van Nuys airports. Bruce serves on the Aviation Advisory Commission.
Patricia Martinez
Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee
Patricia Martinez is a Compliance Manager at Marz Farms, a local agricultural company that specializes in growing berries. Previously, Patricia worked as a junior change management consultant at a boutique specialized in management consultancy. She graduated from Loyola Law School with an emphasis in Business Law and received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis in Managerial Economics.
Dianne McKay
Behavioral Health Advisory Board
Dianne McKay was raised in Ventura County from the age of 12 and returned to Thousand Oaks to raise her four children with her husband, Duncan McKay. Dianne’s business career began on the technology side of live television until 2004, when the company she founded with her late father, Strategic Television, was successfully sold. After giving time to public education non-profits, she joined Mustang Marketing in 2010, taking over as president in 2018 and completed purchasing the company in January 2020. Dianne was elected to the Ventura County Community College Board of Trustees in 2010 beginning three four-year terms. She serves on multiple non-profit boards, including the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce (2024 Chair), the VC Family Justice Center Foundation (Chair), Safe Passage Youth Foundation and the VC United Way. She serves on the VC Behavioral Health Advisory Board, appointed by Supervisor Gorell in early 2023.
Mike Mishler
Water Works District No. 19 Advisory Committee
Mike serves on the Ventura County Water Works District No. 19 Advisory Committee Member and is looking forward to using his geology education (Master of Science Groundwater Geology degree) and business experience along with many years of community volunteer work to ensure water supply and cost control for district water users.

Kimberly K. Naslund is the CEO of the Naslund & Naslund Foundation and the Director of the Light of Hope Community Integration Day Program for adults with diverse abilities, which she co-founded with her husband Scott Naslund. Throughout her career she has been the operational manager for start-up and established businesses. Kimberly’s mission is to provide resources for the less fortunate and the underserved segments of our population as that is what she is most passionate about. Kimberly represents Supervisor Gorell on the Children & Families First Commission of Ventura County.

Dr. Heather White has been treating patients in Ventura County for the past 15 years. She is a resident of Thousand Oaks, CA and is honored to serve on the Ventura County EMS Advisory Committee. She looks forward to helping serve her community.
Goffrey Patterson
A 1976 graduate of the University of Southern California, Goffrey played professional golf in Asia, Europe, and Australia in the late 1970s before entering the film business as a motion picture sound mixer in 1980. Geoffrey has been twice nominated for Academy Awards (“Twister”/”Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”), 8 times for Emmys, and 16 times for Cinema Audio Society Awards, for best sound. Former professor at the USC School of Cinema, an instrument rated pilot, and a 30-year resident of Lake Sherwood.
Joel Price
Joel Price served with the Los Angeles Police Department a total of 37 years retiring in 2015 as the Officer in Charge of the West Valley Homicide & Sexual Assault Units. Joel also served on the Thousand Oaks City Council from March 2012 to December 2018, serving as Mayor in 2016. As a member of the council Joel was active with both the League of California Cities and the National League of Cities serving on the Public Safety Committees of both organizations. Joel Also served as a Director on the National League of Cities Board and as the League of California Cities, Channel Counties Division President. Joel currently serves as the Communications Director for Assemblymember Jacqui Irwin. Joel is married to his wife Jeanine and they have three adult children.
Glen Reiser
Judge Glen Reiser (Ret.) worked as a private attorney in Ventura County between 1978 and 1998, with an emphasis on land use and appellate litigation. From 1998 until 2019, Judge Reiser served on the Ventura County Superior Court in multiple assignments, including probate, civil, criminal and family law. For over a decade, Judge Reiser was Ventura County’s assigned CEQA judge. Judge Reiser currently works as a neutral with JAMS, serving as a private judge and mediator across all of California.
Charles Sandlin
Charles is a father of three (3) and owns his own insurance brokerage, Sandlin Insurance. He has served as the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board and on the Board of Directors for the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club. He also volunteers his time as a youth sports coach. Charles has a BS from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Cal Lutheran University. He has a passion for effective governance and is dedicated to ensuring that our community remains one of the best places to live in the world! He is currently serving on the Ventura County Planning Commission.
Nathan Stockmeir
Nathan Stockmeir is the current President of Castle & Cooke, Inc. Mainland Properties and has overseen development for Lake Sherwood for the past 9 years, which is a large portion of District 38. He has sat on the District 38 Citizens Advisory Committee for the past 4 years, Sherwood Valley Homeowners Association and Architectural Review Boards for the past 8 years. Nathan believes his knowledge of Sherwood’s infrastructure and usage makes him a valuable member of District 38 committee and looks forward to continued service.
Rashid Syed
Rashid Syed represents Supervisor Gorell on the Ventura County Climate Emergency Council and is a resident of Thousand Oaks. Rashid lectures on chemistry at in the California State University system and is a passionate advocate for climate change awareness and action.
Katherine Zetterberg
Kathy Zetterberg has been a resident in the Conejo Valley for over 40 years. She serves on the WWD38 board for the community of Lake Sherwood. In her spare time Kathy enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid pickleball player.
